EdWeek article notes that teacher prep is slow to embrace SEL

Evi Blad writes an article that looks at the results of the SEL in Teacher Education Scan completed by Kim Schonert-Reichl and colleagues for CASEL. This is an exciting time in education. More attention is now being paid to a critical link in the professional development pipeline – teacher preparation programs that need to serve as one of the “anchor partners” required to provide and help maintain effective SEL- prepared teachers in our country’s classrooms.
