As a former high school teacher and district-level instructional coach, Dr. Julie Sauve is passionate about equipping educators with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to fully support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. Julie earned her PhD in Human Development, Learning, and Culture from the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia where she focused on examining systemic implementation of social, emotional, and academic initiatives with a focus on the social and emotional development and wellbeing of educators. Her research has focused on the integration of social and emotional learning into the preservice context. Julie is an Implementation Specialist at Harmony Academy and an adjunct professor at the University of Portland where she teaches preservice educators about SEL programs, practices, and implementation.
