Biography

Hana Nip (she/hers) has a long-standing passion in improving youth wellbeing through the application of positive psychological mechanisms. Specifically, she is interested in helping youth develop compassionate behaviors and, in turn, fostering their individual and social wellbeing. She is ultimately motivated by the vision of a world where children and adolescents can grow to be kinder to themselves and others, leading to flourishing lives.

In alignment with her interests and passion, Hana graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Psychological Science where she spent her time working in different research labs and community-based organizations to study and spread positive psychological interventions. She is now serving as a Research Technician at The Ohio State University and works on research studies examining the impact of acts of kindness on individual and social wellbeing. Additionally, at the Center for Reaching & Teaching the Whole Child, Hana serves as a Research Assistant. Nip aims to become a community psychologist in the future, working with communities and organizations to build, implement, and evaluate interventions that promote youth wellbeing and compassion.
